The sun was shining, the birds were singing, the sun was out and the weather was nice. Nothing seemed to be able to ruin the day, but there was certainly something that could make it better then it already was.
"Hey there ________. Nice day, is it not?"
Giving a giggle at his enthusiasm you gave a nod and continued to walk along towards the park so you could relax, and just enjoy nature for once. Splendorman was a childhood friend of yours. He had been there when you needed cheering up, and when you needed a friend. You had thought he had been imaginary, but when you got older and older yet he still stayed you knew he must of been something more. He had been your only real friend since third grade due to some bulling issues, though you didn't really mind since as long as Splendorman was there, you were content.
Of course you had other friends there was Sparta and...well... that was about it. You had met Sparta in the first grade, and since then it was more then difficult to pull you both apart. The only issues was that her, and Splendor could never meet. Which made spending time with both of them hard since you wanted to be with both of them at the same time. The tall, happy creature had never explained why this was. Though you had learned to accept it, and Sparta had learned to accept Splendorman was just you imaginary friend since she had never actually seen him.
"I'm going to go get us something to eat, why don't you go find a nice spot among the trees ___________~" Splendorman hummed happily, an ever so large smile on his face as he glanced at you for approval before scurrying off to find whatever snacks he had been planning to have while you worked on your homework while enjoying nature.
"Sure Splendor." With that you wondered off to the forest, and found your usual small clearing among the under brush and trees. It was nice since not many people knew of it, and it was large enough for you to do whatever while Splendorman sat near by watching and or participating in what you were up to. Settling yourself among the trees you gave a happy hum, and set your things up. Trying to concentrate on your homework, and spotting the polka dot suite the tall man sported ever so proudly.
Everything was peaceful why you worked for the most part. You listened to your IPod while you worked on your homework and waited for Splendorman to come and keep you company once more. You were in the zone of working till your IPod decided to act up, and a sudden burst of ear deafening static erupted from your headphones and right into your ear drums. Letting out a sudden shriek you yanked your headset from your ears, and quickly through your hands over your ears. Doing your best to stop the ringing that now clouded your ears. You hadn't known the static had stopped till everything suddenly fell dead quiet, allowing an eerie feeling to shroud you. It had come on so sudden you didn't know how to react, and so you just shivered before going stiff. You would have run, but you didn't know where to run. You knew the way back to the main park area was right behind you, but your sixth sense told you that if you were to turn around you would be met with a fate worse the death. Honestly you didn't know what it was, who would?
When the crack of a twig sounded from your right side you didn't even bother to glance over and finally just bolted, hoping to escape whatever had suddenly come upon you. You ran and ran till your legs started to get heavy, and eventually gave out. Leaving you to tumble down a small hill in front of you before going limp from the pain. You were to scared to move now that running wasn't an option, and crawling was out of the question since your arm strength wasn't the best. Even if it was you had a feeling you'd never be fast enough.
Hearing a few more cracks from the area around you you went stiff yet again, and did you best to at least get a view of your attacker before you met your end. When you came face to face with a tall, faceless creature you froze solid. You weren't sure why, but he was so familiar to your great friend, yet his aura gave away all the evil he had inside him. You would have screamed out, but suddenly you couldn't speak, you could breath. The most you could do was looked wide eyed at the creature as his mouth less face split to form a mouth with sharp teeth, and blackness as far as could be seen. Starting to shiver tears naturally pricked your eyes as your head screamed over, and over that you were going to die. You wanted to fight, but you couldn't. You were frozen in fear. That was when it happen, a voice called out. An oh so familiar voice that free'd you from your frozen state and allowed you to scream out.
"SPLENDORMAN!" You shrieked out in your highest tone, definitely startling the creature that had you in its grip. His reaction had told you he had expected you to stay quiet, so when you saw his make shift face morph into an ugly frown you only continued to scream for your protector.
"___________! ... Slenderman..." Seeing the tall creature run to your rescue, relief flooded over you knowing you were now safe. Though seeing the rage that sparked in the creature you knew as only friendly caused your fear to return. You were almost wishing to be eaten when you saw that always happy smile turn into a hateful frown as he glared down the black and white man holding you.
"Put. Her. Down." You flinched at the harshness of your friends voice, though you quickly let out a squeak as the faceless mans grip only tightened around you, forcefully pushing all the air from your lungs and back out into the open air of the forest around you. Hearing your squeak you watched as Splendorman let out a growl, and attacked the similar looking creature. Causing you to be knocked from the tall creatures grasp and onto the ground. You watched wide eyed for a few minutes as you tried to regain your breath. You were surprised to see such a friendly entity loose it, you would have never imagined it possible before today.
After a while more of watching the fight rage on something inside you sparked that caused you to stumble to your feet and dart over. Wrapped your arms around the usually smiling mans legs you stopped him in his tracks before he could do what you assumed was a finishing blow. You had no clue as to why you were suddenly protecting the suited man, though you figured that to many fights had honestly caused you to hate them. Even if it was one that had been caused trying to protect you. Splendorman gave a few weak thrashes trying to break free from your grip without hurting you, though you just tightened it and let out a small huff.
"Splendorman...." You murmured, looking up at him through teary eyes. You hated to see him so mad, so out of character. Though you agreed everyone needed some free time form there real selves, though you had seen this as going to far.
"P-please..." You stuttered out. All the tripping, and being tossed around like a rag doll finally having its affects on you. At your words that creatures face lightened with an almost stunned look, though he lowered his guard all the same and looked down at you with the most unnatural straight face.
