You let out a small sigh as you nuzzled your face into the crook of your saviors neck. The sounds of leaves crunching under his feet and the wind gently blowing through the tree tops. You wished so desperately to walk, to feel the same earth under your feet while your hands gripped at the nature around you, but you couldn't you had lost to much blood, to much strength.
You were so tired.
All you wanted to do was sleep.
“______, you have to stay awake till we get back to your parents house, If you fall asleep now you might not wake up.” You heard Mask rumble, his voice slightly strained as he tried to talk and climb at the same time.
“But Masky...I'm...I'm so tired...” You mumbled, trying to put his request through to the best of your ability, but your body was winning, and no matter how much you fought, your eye lids got heavier and heavier. Before you knew what was happening, you felt yourself slipping from him, your arms loosing there grip around his shoulders; your legs not willing to stay wrapped around his waist either.
“________!” That was when you felt a sudden jolt and something tight wrap around your wrist. You could only assume you had been caught, because you didn't feel yourself hit the ground.
“I-Im sorry, I....I just can't....” You hand begun to trail off as your eyes got heavier, you had to stop speaking in order to stay awake. All your energy was going into fighting off sleep, and speaking just made your tired demeanor worse.
You could tell he had thought you had fallen asleep by the way he sighed in defeat and gently moved you so you leaned against something firm and strong. Not long after that did you feel him run his fingers over your forehead, pushing stray pieces of hair away before pulling away and walking a few feet off. You heard as he let out a grunt, doing what you assumed was sitting to take a break, a much needed one at that.
“So did she finally die or what?” You heard a faintly familiar voice speak up after a few peaceful moments of silence. The voice for some reason sent a chill down your spine, but you weren't sure why, you could remember why.
“No you idiot! She's...she's just resting...” You heard Mask sigh, his voice aggressive and protective at first before it faded into something unsure, as if he wasn't positive what he was saying was true.
“Dude with that battle between her and Rake, she'll be lucky if she lives to see another sunrise.” The other voice spoke up, his voice rather innocent considering what he was saying.
“You don't think I know that already,” you heard Mask hiss before letting out another, almost invisible sigh.
You wanted so badly to open your eyes, get to your feet, and get who ever was bothering your friend to go away, but you were so weak you weren't even able to ask yourself the questions you normally would have. Like how did he know where to find you both, how did he know what that beast was called at your camp, and how come he just stood by and watched you almost get killed.
“Just let me kill her now for you, Slender is already pissed that you saved her.” At that you felt your limp body go stiff, and your heart rate made an attempt to speed up. There was no way he was going to let that happen to you!
You were happy you knew your friend so well, for he basically mimicked what you were thinking into solid form, his voice harsh and cold as he defended you. It was a side you had never seen, and never wanted to see, but for the time you were just happy that it wasn't being pointed at you.
“Jeez, your snappy, get a grip Mask. She KNOWS about us, what we do, and most of the main areas we hang out in. If she doesn't die, she could easily send police after us. Its not like we can't handle a few stupid humans with guns, but its more trouble then there needs to be.
“She isn't like that.” The masked boy quickly defended.
“Hes telling the truth! I'm not like that, Mask is my friend and I would never do something like that to him.” You wailed in your thoughts, but sadly the boys weren't mind readers, and you were to frail to speak your mind.
“And how do you know this?” The other voice spat, letting out a huff as he did so, clearly annoyed with your friends stubbornness.
“I....I just do...” Mask sighed. You heard as he shifted slightly, his clothing scraping against the area around him before everything fell quiet again except for the birds in the trees and the sounds of squirrels bounding through the tree tops.
“You should have let her die,” a new voice sounded, this one slightly deeper and much more intimidating then the first.
“Not you to Slender!” Mask cried, his voice hiding a slight hint of fear behind it, though he seemed more frustrated then anything.
Slender, so thats where you had heard the voices. Using what little you had, you quickly remembered the name of the other person who was there, and recognized it as the person they had called Jeff.
You let the conversation drift off from your mind as you felt a sudden touch on your wrist. The voices of the three guys were far off from you, at least far enough to where they wouldn't be able to touch you, so who had your wrist?
“W-wh-who a-are you...” You muttered out, your voice nothing higher then just above silence so who ever was next to you could hear, but none of the others could. You felt the slight movement on your wrist stop for a brief second, this just caused your eyebrows to knit slowly together in confusion.
“Heh, your stronger then I though you were.” The person next to you spoke up after a while, his voice just as high as yours, which was barely anything at all. With his voice, you quickly went through the small list of names you had heard at the little ring in the forest and quickly found a name.
“Y-your....Hoodie, r-ri-right?” You muttered, weakly trying to open your eyes. You hated not talking to people without looking at them. It was just a pet-peeve not to make eye contact for you.
You listened as the boy let out a low chuckle before giving a light hum to confirm your question. That was when you assumed he saw you trying to open your eyes, and quickly lifted a hand to keep them closed, quietly telling you to keep them shut.
“You should get some sleep, I will do my best to convince Slender to heal you, if only for Masky's sake.” Hoodie sighed, to show you had agreed with what he had said, you let yourself relax till you looked almost like a rag doll, and slowly drifted into the sleep you had been fighting off all this time.
--- Time-Skip ---
When you woke, you were slightly surprised and not surprised at all to see the bright white light shining above you, though it wasn't nearly as bright as a hospitals, just bright enough to be considered a rooms main light. It just so happened to be right over you, and shining in your eyes, which hadn't picked up light in you didn't know how long.
After laying on a rather comfortable bed for a little while, you slowly made an attempt to sit up. Your first few were terribly painful, suggesting you had been laying in the same position for a while, or you had gained more cuts then you had before, but sooner or later you were able to sit up straight with the only pain being the one in your side, which was now neatly stitched up.
Slowly you stumbled to your feet, taking a few steps around to get your legs use to carrying your weight again, before raising your arms above your head and giving a nice, needed stretch. Oh how good it felt to stretch. Stretching was nice, you had forgotten that.
Just as your body begun to get use to its self again, the sudden craving for food came over you when the smell of something delicious hit your nose and your stomach gave out a loud and rather embarrassing grumble. Oh how happy you were that no one had heard that! It was so loud you could have sworn people near by would have thought dinosaurs had some how come back and gotten into the building.
Now that you had a chance to look at your weight, you were surprised and horrify. You could see your ribs just by breathing, though the rest of your body seemed fine other then a few missing chunks of fat here and there, but that wasn't an issue, considering you were trying to loose it anyway. With that in mind, you quickly used your newfound need of food to quickly leave the room, where your nose proceeded to lead you.
When you finally came to a stop, it wasn't because you had found the food, but some voices echoed from the area you could only assume was a kitchen. They were speaking about something you couldn't wrap your mind around, not with that sweet SWEET food, sitting right there on the counter!
Did you mention how sweet that food looked? GOD DAMN it looked so sweet!
You were only pulled from your obsession when your stomach threated to give away your position, quickly you gave your stomach a warning look, and as if it could see you, the feeling to rumble quickly went away.
With that out of the way, you quickly shot your gaze back up, your eyes naturally looking to set on the food again so you could plot on ways to get some, but you let out a squeak when you came face to face with a pale boy who smiled largely at you, and your reaction. Though you couldn't tell if he was smiling because he could, or if he was forced to because it was carved into his face.
“Good to see your awake, finally. I was getting tired of having to watch you just lay there in bed anyways.” He mumbled, pulling away from you so you both had some space before making his way back into the kitchen, taking his rightful place at the table while he waited for whoever was cooking to finish.
“Wait...you watched me sleep!” You squeaked, your fists tightening into balls as you shot him a glare from around the corner, to shy to make your way after him. You were stronger then before, but not strong enough to beat the crap out of this guy.
Not yet, at least.
“We all had to at least once. Slender didn't want you being left alone till you woke up, well, more Mask didn't want you to be left alone till you woke up. So we all had to take shifts watching you to make sure you didn't, ya' know, start bleeding all over the floor in case you shifted and re opened your wound or something.” The other male in the room spoke up. It only took you a second to recognize that voice and almost identical yellow hoodie you were use to.
“O-oh...sorry...” You mumbled, slowly making your way from out behind the corner with the presence of Hoodie in the room.
“It is not fine! I want her to apologize for yelling at me, and then bow to me and tell me how amazing I am.” Jeff cut in, a clear smirk on his face that told you he was half kidding half not. Just to kill that part that wasn't kidding, Hoodie picked up the nearest knife and tossed it right at the killers head, leaving it planted in the wall as he sent Jeff a warning glare.
“Don't request such things Jeff, unless you would like me to tell Mask. I'm sure he would love tearing you apart.” Hoodie hummed telling you that he had done this before. Though you couldn't help but laugh at the hooded boys statement, causing both boys to shoot you a confused look.
“Whats so funny?” Jeff huffed, a little aggravated with your sudden outburst with no good reason behind it.
“I'm sorry, but I just can't see Mask as the aggressive type like you guys talk about him.” You sighed, calming your laughing fit before shuffling over to the table and sitting down, where Hoodie was nice enough to give you a glance of coffee.
“You'd be surprised then.” Jeff snorted, rolling his wide eyes before taking a drink of whatever he had gotten, which was more then likely coffee as well.
“Mask can be a very violent person, though I can see why you can't think of him as such. He is very level headed and good tempered around you almost all the time, though he does have his moments.” Hoodie explained.
After that you sat there looking confused till your stomach let out a growl. Your face flushed as Jeff boomed his laughers and Hoodie snickered. All you could do was puff your cheeks and cross your arms with a huff till they both calmed down, and Hoodie placed a plate of food in front of you. Easily you could tell it was eggs and toast, which you quickly eat up, giving a content sigh when you finished.
“Food has never been so good!” You mumbled, resting your head on the table as you let your body make more energy for you to use.
“Well its only natural to be hungry after two weeks of nothing but sleep.” The hooded boy mumbled, finishing up both his and Jeff's plates before sitting down and eating.
“Two weeks!?” You jumped up before sitting down, your sudden action and lack of energy giving you a head rush.
Two weeks...What did your parents think?
